Dr. Kachyo Lepcha is Textbook officer (TBO) Directorate of Languages, Education Department, Government of Sikkim, Gangtok. Prior to that he was a Founder Faculty & in-charge of Lepcha Department School of Languages and Literature, Sikkim Central University, Gangtok. He also served as a Lepcha Guest Faculty in District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Gyalshing, West Sikkim and resource person for Gyalshing Govt. College West Sikkim and Namchi Govt. College South Sikkim. He completed his PhD from the Department of History, Sikkim University, titled: “The Teesta Hydro Projects: A Historical Analysis of the Protest Movement in North Sikkim (1964–2011)”.
