about me
Survo khamri Gunka My name is Pema Tarbu Lepcha and my birth place is Dzongu.
My name itself has a combination of both Buddhist and Lepcha. The term Pema means a Lotus from Buddhism and Tarbu means developed or developing ..which defines a developing lotus..
So I believe and respect all in humanity ..culture and tradition is what one should stand in front of the world. It’s my privilege and honour to be in love with my world of Lepchas.
“Culture and art itself is an identity to express one’s community.”

What is storytelling to me?
The journey of this project made us experience the concept of research, as we got to know many valuable things, got to go deep to culture and customs..the challenging part was actually the different narrations from other narrators. As to which we got to compared all the story narrations and resulted a final one..
What is sacred to me?
Relatively connected with God or with religious purpose
Finding my sacred place
Here goes my drawing..my sacred place, where young fold mountains stand tall…fills heart with those blossoms. touching those peaks with sunlight every morning ..give hopes everyday..place where I believe, place where I live and breathe.. Say hello to It.–
